About Me
WHO: My name is Charles, I’m a Disabled U.S. Marine. I served our country from 1993-1997, with delayed-entry training in 1992-1993.
WHAT: After having the idea implanted by a friend I decided the most productive and enjoyable way to spend the next few years was to do some Camp Hosting. The more I have researched the idea and started planning for it, the more I knew it was what I wanted to do.
WHERE: Reading about Work Camping and being a Disabled Veteran with both an U.S. Access Pass for Federal Park discounts, and a Distinguished Veterans pass from the state of California that allows disabled veterans free access to state park for extended periods of time help out in the where. Many State, Federal, and Private RV Camp grounds throughout the country and even Canada.
WHY: What better way to spend time than helping the wildlife and those that want to enjoy it. As a Marine, I was well trained in outdoor survival and with long term camping I think that it will be a great way to spend my up and down time while I have it and the ability and mobility to enjoy it.
HOW: Living a very meager lifestyle while saving up, building up my credit, and appreciating the current donations that have been given by family, friends and strangers via: http://www.gofundme.com/VetWish
